Based in the North Cotswolds, Hilary is a botanical artist and portrait artist working primarily in coloured pencil, coloured pastel, pastel pencil, charcoal, pen and ink and graphite pencil.  Hilary graduated in the late eighties with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art and went on to work as a graphic designer.   She has recently completed a CertHE in Botanical Illustration at Birmingham University and a selection of her work has been accepted by the Royal Horticultural Society for exhibition at future RHS shows.  The RHS Picture Committee described her work as "well observed with a wonderful sense of movement"
